Track

I was reading the Salt Lake Route series in the Mar MR today. The discussion about the Kato Unitrak double track super-elevated curves really has my attention. Since a lot of use like modern equipment maybe we should consider that. Double stacks and high cars really look good on super-elevated curves. It is worth discussing.

I agree, super elevated track can look cool but only if it is done on long, wide radius curves. It also has to be done carefully so as not to disrupt slow moving trains. Remember the problems we had with Vantana Mesa when George got too heavy handed. Once we settle on a configuration it is certainly something to consider. However I would not like to see us use Kato track.

I can get on board not using Kato but do want consider super-elevation. I am not surprised George to it wrong.
