Here is an example of how we could manage all the DCC equipment and related components.
With this approach, we could choose one of the straight modules (near the center of the layout) to house all the "goodies".
Everything is handy for troubleshooting as well as for modifications as our layout grows.

I really like the drawer idea. My bigger concern is to make the wiring as simple as possible while still achieving the operating we want. The biggest question mark in my mind is how we can easily expand by adding modules. My feeble brain says take a design and draw a wiring plan ( not a schematic) and play with it. Hopefully some of you have a better idea.
